FRIDAY 30TH JANUARY
10.30am: Service of Commemoration at Peterborough Cathedral
Local school children dressed in Tudor costume will proceed from Peterborough Museum to Peterborough Cathedral for a service to commemorate Katharine of Aragon. All are welcome and admission is free. The service is followed by a Tudor history day for schools.
2.00pm: Guided tour of Peterborough Cathedral
A fascinating historical tour of the Cathedral interior, with a focus on the Tudor period. The tour takes just over an hour.

7.30pm: Alison Weir: The Exile of Katharine of Aragon, an illustrated talk at Peterborough Cathedral
Renowned historian and novelist, Alison Weir, will speak about the last years of Katharine of Aragon's life. Banished from court in 1531, Katharine remained in exile and never accepted that Henry had divorced her. She was moved around various houses and eventually died at Kimbolton Castle. The talk will be followed by Q & A and a book signing. A selection of Alison's books will be on sale.

SATURDAY 31ST JANUARY
10.00am – 5.00pm: At Home with the Tudors, at Peterborough Museum
Travel back in time to the 1500s, with a chance to meet Tudor characters such as the Barber Surgeon with his gruesome cures, mind your manners with a Tudor lady, handle arms and armour with our soldiers or try period food. Take part in family activities and crafts with a Tudor theme or go on one of our hourly tours to the rarely-seen Tudor cellars. This is a drop-in event, so there's no need to pre-book!
Admission £3.50 adults, £2.50 concessions, £8 families, under 5s and Heritage Pass holders FREE. (Last admission 4pm).

7.30pm: Monteverdi's Vespers of 1610, sung by The Sixteen at Peterborough Cathedral
Internationally famed choral group, The Sixteen, performs one of the most significant collections of sacred music ever written. Although the piece is from a later period, as a devout Catholic Katharine of Aragon would have been familiar with the daily office of sung vespers. Conductor: Harry Christophers.

A walking tour around Peterborough's historic city centre with a costumed guide, to explore what the city was like during the time of Katharine of Aragon and discover some of the surviving buildings from this period.
