Kentwell Hall is a romantic, moated, mellow red brick Tudor mansion in a tranquil parkland setting.

Our Tudor days are unrivalled in scale, visitors immerse themselves in the sights, sounds and smells of the 16th Century. Kentwell is the originator of historical live Tudor events. With over 30 years experience, we offer the biggest, most comprehensive and authentic Tudor experience anywhere. Life is re-created on a community scale; our entire historic house and estate are transformed into a 16th Century Manor, with up to 250 inhabitants of all ages, skills and wealth carrying out a huge variety of daily tasks.

Come and enjoy all of our time-periods at one event!

Take a fascinating journey through the fashions, food and entertainments of over six centuries with our talented re-enactors. From a medieval village to the twentieth century (with a few historical surprises along the way), it is a fantastic event for all the family!

Medieval Village

The Barns will become a Medieval village, with the cottage at the centre of the activities. Craft workers, gunsmith, skinners, villagers and soldiers will be at work.

Tudor Crafts and Cooking

In the Moat House, our Tudor area, the Tudors will be hard at work in the bakehouse and dairy. Upstairs you will find the stillroom where lotions and potions are made, and the needlewomen working on their latest wall hangings.

Victorian Household

The Victorian Starkie Bence family will be in the Parlour, the Billiard Room and the Library, with their staff attending them. Join in with their parlour games and find out what life was like in 1869.

WWII

The cooks will be in the Wartime Kitchen, the Home Guard and the Army will be under canvas and the WVS ladies will be in the wartime house.
