Malmesbury

On Thursday 15 October 2015, BBC History Magazine's History Weekend will return to Malmesbury in Wiltshire following two very successful years for its biggest event yet. This year, over four days, almost 40 leading historians and authors will descend on the ancient hilltop town - the burial place of Aethelstan, grandson of King Alfred the Great, and first king of all England - to share their passion for the past with fellow history lovers.

Of particular interest to Tudor & Stewart enthusiasts:

Tracy Borman: The Story of the Tower of London
Alison Weir: The Lost Tudor Princess: Margaret Douglas, Countess of Lennox
Lisa Hilton: Elizabeth I - Renaissance Prince?
Suzannah Lipscomb: Unravelling the Mystery of Henry VIII's Last Will and Testament
Helen Castor: Medieval Rites of Passage: Birth, Marriage and Death in the Paston Family
