Mary of Guise became the wife of James V in 1538. By the end of 1542 she was a widow, determined to protect the throne for her daughter, Mary, Queen of Scots.
It is now 1554 and she has just been crowned Queen Regent of Scotland. Come along to Edinburgh Castle and hear her remarkable and often overlooked story.
